They slept the first few hours of arrival. After it was dark they wanted to Practice. I knew that they needed to look over the equipment and get the pieces put together. Right away they had more to choose from then any other band. Two Drum sets, one black one red. Both Pear drum sets. Bass amplifier: Galen Kruger RB 400, AM PEGs three different ones to choose from. Cabinets , 4 X 10, 8 X 10, 1 X 15, 2 X 15, 1 X18, 2 X 18. Guitar Sun Beta Lead 200 watt solid state, Marshal two different heads, 4 X 12. After about five minutes they had picked out what they wanted to use. Rika had the hardest time because there were so many types of Bass amplifiers and cabinets. I was tired. I had been working my ass off for this tour. trying to get all my work done before we left. paying all my bills and telling T-shirt customers that I would be gone. It just seemed no matter what I did there would be some one or some thing I forgot to do or talk to. At this point I laid on the floor, put my head phones on to block out the sound and Melt Banana Ripped up my practice room with some great new tunes. After about 10 songs they Tore into the Damned's NEAT, NEAT, NEAT. I was ecstatic. I was nailed. besides the fact that they were just about to beat the shit out of America with their own brand of FUCKING crazy music, they had a hand full of great cover tunes to pull out. The Damned, the Rolling Stones "Paint it Black" and Bing Crosbys "White Christmas." I was in heaven, The tour was going to be one hell of a musical ride. This was just what I needed. I small dose of Melt Banana to pick up my spirits and give the strength to finish all my work. (end of page 17 - s6.html)
